What it is for

Use this when you write the first email. Subject: yard, window, and the word order. Example: Newark Monday cut order. Body: one line per code, quantity in packs, and the door that will receive. Do not hide the quantity in an attachment. The quantity belongs in the body.

How it ships

Clocks are Eastern unless you are booking a local appointment. The Monday cut closes 15:00 ET. Midweek rush closes Wednesday 12:00 ET and only at yards that run it. Holiday sprint clocks live in the confirmation and replace the ordinary clock that week.

At the door

A complete email gets a yes or a no. An email that says send some tees gets a question, and the question may land after the cut. If you are unsure of a code, paste the code. Names drift. Codes do not.

When it slips

Keep one thread per order. A second thread called updated qty becomes a second pick. Reply on the confirmation when a number changes, and say which line died. We can edit before the pick starts. We cannot edit a truck that has left.

Print this sheet or keep it with the ASN. It is written for the person at the door, not for a slide. Questions that the sheet does not answer belong on the order thread, with the code, not in a new mailbox. orders@insta.us is the cut.

Worked use

Read order window sheet before you write, not after the driver leaves. Put the code in the first line and the quantity in the body, in packs, unless you mean masters and say so. Ten is ten inners. That single rule sits behind more of these sheets than people expect.

Keep one thread. A second subject becomes a second pick, and then order window sheet cannot tell which truck you meant. Forward the thread to the person at the door so they are not counting from memory. Memory signs the wrong exception.

Credits, when a sheet ends in a credit, are memos in USD against the invoice. Do not short-pay a different order and call it even. Weather and holiday clocks, when they apply, live in the confirmation and outrank a general page. If order window sheet and the confirmation disagree, believe the confirmation and write back on that thread.

Before you send

Put Order window sheet in the subject with the yard and the window, and put the quantity in the body as packs unless you truly mean masters. Forward that thread to the person who will meet the truck, because a receiver working from memory signs the wrong note. If this is your first order, two inners on the sample floor teach more than a pallet you cannot store. Newark and Columbus are the calm doors for a first count. Heat yards and winter yards can wait until you know the paper. A confirmation that names a different day than this page is the day to plan. Reply there, not in a new mailbox.
