Orders in by 15:00 ET Monday. Floor day Friday of the same week at yards on this window.

What it is for

The Monday cut is the ordinary promise. You write before 15:00 Eastern on Monday. We confirm the codes the yard can actually pick. The truck leaves in time for a Friday floor at the yards that publish Monday on their page. A Friday floor means the goods are on a truck Friday, not that a customer is holding them at 10:00 in every city.

How it ships

Emails that arrive at 15:10 are Tuesday mail. We do not round in your favour, because the pick wave has started and adding a line means someone else's carton waits. If the order is urgent, say what can drop. A shorter order still on the cut beats a long order that misses it.

At the door

Confirmation is a reply, not a silence. If you have no reply by Tuesday noon Eastern, write again on the same subject line. Do not start a second thread. Two threads become two picks.

When it slips

The cut is capacity, not a mood. In October a normal Monday still has room for tees and coffee. In the holiday sprint the same clock closes earlier. The holiday page overrules this one in November and December.

Use this window by name in the subject. Mixing two windows in one email makes two picks. If you are unsure which yard can honour it, look at the yard pages and at the order window sheet. The confirmation, once sent, is the clock that counts.

Keep going

Using the Monday cut

Orders in by 15:00 ET Monday. Floor day Friday of the same week at yards on this window. Put that timing in the subject along with the yard. A second window in the same email is a second pick. Monday cut does not blend into the word soon. If the yard you want does not run this window, the reply will name one that does, or it will say no.

Capacity is checked when the email arrives, not when the truck is at the door. Gift crates in the holiday sprint take hands that apparel used in October. Soft goods in Phoenix and Dallas still want the morning wave even if the window says Friday. The confirmation line is the one a receiver should believe if this page and the week ever disagree.

Keep the ASN, the door, and a person who will be in the building. Monday cut fails quietly when the shop is locked. It also fails loudly when two threads exist for one order. Stay on the first thread. Change quantities there, before the pick, and say which line died.
