A pause when the apron is unsafe or the goods would be cooked, soaked, or frozen.

The floor problem

A weather hold is a decision by the yard lead, not a slogan. Heat in Phoenix and Dallas, ice in Chicago and Minneapolis, standing water in Seattle, storms in Miami and Atlanta, wind that makes a dock plate a bad idea. The email is short: yard, reason, next floor day.

The pack

We do not ship through a hold to protect a promise we already qualified. Same-week means the named window when the yard is working. It does not mean a driver in a flood. If a campaign cannot slip a day, the carton needed to be in your room earlier.

A clean receive

Goods already on a truck stay with the carrier's rules. Goods still in the yard stay in the yard. We do not roll a soft balm master onto an apron to make a scan. The scan can wait. The tin cannot.

Claims and timing

Your reply can cut the order down for the next window. It cannot end the hold. Write if one code can wait a week and another cannot. We will split when the yard can split.

Use this window by name in the subject. Mixing two windows in one email makes two picks. If you are unsure which yard can honour it, look at the yard pages and at the order window sheet. The confirmation, once sent, is the clock that counts.

Keep going

Using the Weather hold

A pause when the apron is unsafe or the goods would be cooked, soaked, or frozen. Put that timing in the subject along with the yard. A second window in the same email is a second pick. Weather hold does not blend into the word soon. If the yard you want does not run this window, the reply will name one that does, or it will say no.

Capacity is checked when the email arrives, not when the truck is at the door. Gift crates in the holiday sprint take hands that apparel used in October. Soft goods in Phoenix and Dallas still want the morning wave even if the window says Friday. The confirmation line is the one a receiver should believe if this page and the week ever disagree.

Keep the ASN, the door, and a person who will be in the building. Weather hold fails quietly when the shop is locked. It also fails loudly when two threads exist for one order. Stay on the first thread. Change quantities there, before the pick, and say which line died.

What to put in the note

Weather hold is a working page for a buyer who already sells on a floor. The useful note names the yard, the window, and the quantity as packs, inners, or masters, and it uses only one of those words. orders@insta.us is the mailbox. There is no cart and no login. A second thread about windows weather hold does not move a truck that is already sequenced. If you already have an ASN, stay on that thread and put the number where a picker can see it.

The ordinary cut is 15:00 Eastern on Monday. A note about Weather hold that lands after the cut waits for the next open window unless the confirmation says the week is a holiday sprint. When the confirmation names a different floor day, plan that day. Do not plan the day you hoped for. Newark and Columbus are the calm doors for a first count. Heat yards and winter yards can wait until you know which paper you actually sell. Forward the thread to the person who will meet the truck. A receiver working from memory signs the wrong note.
