Same-day photos, a lot code, and one issue per email.
The situation
A claim that says everything was a mess waits. A claim that says AP-TEE-6, master ending 184, flap photo, inner photo, short one large, gets a reply. Helen Cho's team matches that to the yard's outbound photo. If our photo already shows the short, the credit is simple.
What we do with it
One issue per email. A short count plus a crushed brim plus a pricing question becomes a thread nobody can close. Send three notes if you have three problems. The credit memo can then name the right code.
What you should do
Returns of sellable goods, still banded, are a different path from damage. Read the returns sheet for the window and the yard that will take them. Do not ship a return to a yard that did not send the goods.
The limit
Opened minis, chewed bottles, rained-on blankets, and gifts that already reached a person are not returns. They are the cost of selling. The lane is for our misses and for unopened mistakes, not for regret.
If this note matches a carton in your room, reply on the order thread rather than starting a fresh complaint. Codes and photos beat a retelling. The sheets are the durable version of these stories, and the windows are the clocks the stories keep bumping into.
Keep going
If this is your carton
Same-day photos, a lot code, and one issue per email. Reply on the order thread with the code and the ASN. A fresh email titled with the story name loses the history How a short carton is written up is trying to protect. One issue per note. Photos of the flap and the inner beat a paragraph about how the week felt.
Match the story to a sheet before you invent a local rule. Receiving, claims, appointments, and weather already say what the yards will do. How a short carton is written up is the reason those sheets are short. They were written after a real miss, not before a campaign.
Same-week still means the named window when the apron is working. It does not mean a customer holding the good at 10:00, and it does not overrule ice, heat, or a locked shop. If you need a date that cannot slip, the carton has to be in your room the week before. How a short carton is written up is a floor note, not a guarantee you can forward to a vice president unchanged.
What to put in the note
How a short carton is written up is a working page for a buyer who already sells on a floor. The useful note names the yard, the window, and the quantity as packs, inners, or masters, and it uses only one of those words. orders@insta.us is the mailbox. There is no cart and no login. A second thread about stories returns lane does not move a truck that is already sequenced. If you already have an ASN, stay on that thread and put the number where a picker can see it.
The ordinary cut is 15:00 Eastern on Monday. A note about How a short carton is written up that lands after the cut waits for the next open window unless the confirmation says the week is a holiday sprint. When the confirmation names a different floor day, plan that day. Do not plan the day you hoped for. Newark and Columbus are the calm doors for a first count. Heat yards and winter yards can wait until you know which paper you actually sell. Forward the thread to the person who will meet the truck. A receiver working from memory signs the wrong note.
